BIO
I grew up across a bunch of countries—Venezuela, Gabon, Italy, Chile, and Spain—which gave me a pretty eclectic upbringing. In 2014, I wrapped up a BA in Cinematography for Film and TV from UNATC in Bucharest, Romania.
My feature film debut is #dogpoopgirl (which won Best Debut at Transilvania IFF 2021), a social satire with tragic elements about the Internet age. Currently streaming on MAX. My sophomore film is Portraits of a Nation: Five Faces of Identity, a documentary exploring 'who we are…' through the stories of five individuals shaping the new Romania after the '90s."
Along the way, I’ve lensed award winning shorts like Offstage (Best Live Action Short at the 33rd Oscar-Qualifying Warsaw IFF 2017), Havana CUBA (Best Short Film at the Gopo Awards 2020) and Everything is great and nobody’s happy (which snagged Audience Award at Filmul de Piatra 2024). I’ve also been a camera operator on films, TV series and shorts like Hardway (C CAM), Contract to Kill (C CAM) Groapa (13x120’ B CAM & 2ND UNIT DOP) and Scris/Nescris (B CAM); and additional photography on many more (Alt LoveBuilding 2014, The New Gypsy Kings 2016, See You Soon 2019, The Gray House 2024).
I’m in a constant journey developing my craft, I believe that prepping is the best path of the process, while shooting is the most rewarding part of the craft. I am an adept of shooting shots that serve the story and director’s vision, not just the cinematography.
